I am eager to be away from this place. The realization chills me to my core, but it is truth. Tarros — once pure and beautiful — is naught but a solitary prison now. The songs of Tarros will lead me home, and I count on the journey being shorter than when we made our way here. But the journey will still be long, and traveling swiftly will require great focus. My mission cannot wait, though, and so I ended my seclusion earlier than I would have preferred. The journey has been far longer than any of us anticipated, and it is a worry that the Alfath show no signs of slowing. They should not have been able to last this long on their broken magics. There is some concern amongst my people that our magics will be depleted before the Alfath finally settle, but none waver in our commitment. Now, away from Tarros, I feel more keenly the burden of command. Ninety-eight souls look to me for direction. Ninety-eight souls entrusted to my leadership.
