I am eager to be away from this place. The realization chills me to my core, but it is truth. Tarros — once pure and beautiful — is naught but a solitary prison now. It can never feel like home again. There is too much sorrow and pain in the memories now, and I need deliver the sad news to those awaiting my return. Ninety-nine souls. Findalaran’s Journal: Homecoming
The songs of Tarros will lead me home, and I count on the journey being shorter than when we made our way here. But the journey will still be long, and traveling swiftly will require great focus. My mission cannot wait, though, and so I ended my seclusion earlier than I would have preferred. Ninety-eight souls — my brothers and sisters in spirit and honor — sworn to follow me to doom and glory. Continue reading

Team members spent three years preparing for the attempt, studying past attempts and developing new equipment to better their odds of surviving in the harsh climate. The mission was almost successful — it is estimated that they were within 16 kilometers of their goal when a sudden squall forced them to seek emergency shelter in a cave. This cave turned out to be the entrance to an ancient Thelian temple. Continue reading
